Monday-feels good to be home

Hey y'all!
Oh my goodness, this past weekend has been just CRAZY! I've hardly been home since Wednesday, so many things to do and so many places to go! Well, I plan on getting some things done around the house...in the garden...about the barn...and just spend the day at home doing the things I love. I'm going to play with my lil' goaties, enjoy the sunshine, and work on some handcrafts. This summer is going to be busy and, as we can already tell, blazing HOT outside. I hope y'all have a great day, I'll blog some more tomorrow! =P

Triumphant Lilies

These are some pictures of the Triamphant Lilies that bloomed in my yard. I bought them at the Spring Plant Sale, as a small plant. Each day after I planted the Lily, I watched for growth. I've watched this plant grow taller...and taller...small buds appeared...buds became large and heavy, waiting, waiting to open...then one morning, one took a chance. She opened her glorious bloom, a dazzling white lily with a blush tint of purple. Each bloom, five total, awaited their turn, blessing us each day with their serenity and grace.

Pretty Things

I love pretty things, everything pretty: sunsets...flowers...goaties...friends...people...creatures. Whenever I see something pretty, I just have to share it! I can just stand there and drink it in, whether it be a cute goatie...a multi-color sunset...a blossoming rose...the way the sunlight streams through the clouds, sunshine beaming all around, I just stand there...thanking God for this bea-u-ti-ful sight, for all the blessings He's given me...and then, I just have to share it! I'll yell to SimplyChele, SimplyNrae, Farmboy, or whomever it close to just look-just look and see all the beauty right in front of us.

I like to find beauty in all I see, whether it be a friend, something in the garden, a little goatie nibblin in my fingers. I always try to find and share love too, because A-L-L of God's creation needs love! You need love, I need love, gardens need love, animals need love-God needs love, He needs our love.

A new song by MercyMe is "The Generous Mr. Lovewell". It talks about a guy who tries to show everyone he cares, and believes that the little things mean the most. It may simply be asking a friend how they've been doing, seeing if the elderly people at the store near you need any help, and whatnot. I try to do this. I try to always remember to smile and make eye contact with those around me, especially if they're talking to me or having a bad day. Everyone needs to be loved, and needs to know they are loved.

Everyone should try and be like the Generous Mr. Lovewell, we should show love to those around us, and share with each other the beauty that we see in each day.

The Beauty of Trees

Ever stopped to simply look at a tree? To me, trees are so beautiful, so majestic, so peaceful. Trees are so full of beauty! The way they sway in the wind...how the sunlight streams through their leaves on a bright day...how dew and raindrops daintily drip and drop, on and off the leaves at their own pace, creating music, harmony, and serenity.

Trees provide food for some animals, homes for others, and places of rest, of peace, of strength for people. One of my most favorite places in the world in up a tree; there I find hope...strength...peace...love...contentment.

There is where I pray...where I feel closest to God...my own special place with Him. We all need a place like that-a place where God is close and nothing else matters...a place to be loved by Him. If you haven't found that place today, I encourage you to do so, it will bring you the peace you are looking for and that you do deeply desire.
